Having competed in the Beijing Olympics in 2008 as a 16-year-old, Oliveira arrived at London 2012 as a distinct outsider to Pistorius, the most famous double amputee athlete in history.
But a storming finish in the 200m by the youngster from Maraba, Para, handed Pistorius his first defeat in nine years.
Pistorius caused controversy with his remarks after the race by declaring Oliveira had received an unfair advantage, claims he later retracted.
